THE all-women organization JCI Lakambini Davao has launched a new project to inspire more women to pursue their goals.

The chapter’s president, Chinggay Estil-Quong, said that as a group composed of accomplished young career women and business owners, they want Queentuhan as a venue to share an uplifting message to others.

“In our chapter, we do not only strive for excellence but we value our members. Each member is unique and we uphold the values of true sisterhood - women who support each other,” she quipped.

As they call themselves the “Queens of Change,” she said they represent the women who are “catalysts of change in our community. A group that encourages women to play an active role in community development and create positive change.” Thus, Queentuhan, a series of talks featured on the group’s official Facebook page, was born. This will run from January 25 until September this year.

“Through our success stories, we would want to inspire young women using the platform of Queentuhan,” she shared.

She further narrated that the JCI Lakambini Davao focuses on creating women leaders for the community they belong to. They aim to create positive change in their members, their organization and the community where they operate through training and immersions.

“We believe change starts from within and it starts from creating a safe avenue for women to grow and explore their capabilities. Women supporting fellow women can create a synergy that capacitates us to rally for our advocacies,” Estil-Quong emphasized.

The talks are based on our careers, business, hobbies, and interests. From these, the organization wants to incorporate encouragement and inspiration to other women. Among the specific topics are “Ganda ka gurl,” which is all about skincare and self-love; “Let’s bake” on baking and patience; “Plant love” on hobbies and exploring self-growth; and

“Bags and friendship” on pursuing a new business with good friends.
