Ex-Masantol vice-mayor to be laid to rest January 27

THE late former Masantol vice mayor Jorge "Jay" Perez Bustos III will be laid to rest Wednesday, January 27.

In a press statement, Patrol Party-List (Public Safety Alliance for Transformation and Rule of Law Inc.) Representative Jorge "Patrol" Bustos asked for prayers for the untimely passing of his brother, Jay, at the age of 46.

In his official statement, Representative Bustos expressed his sadness over the sudden demise of his brother.

He also took the opportunity to thank all those who have reached out to him and expressed their heartfelt condolences to his family.

"I am overwhelmed with immense gratitude, with all the outpouring of messages of support for my family during this most difficult time. My brother did great things for our town in Masantol, moved mountains and selflessly devoted much of his time helping people live better lives. Thank you for all your kind and thoughtful words. I know his legacy will long be remembered even after his passing, he will surely be missed," Representative Bustos said.

The interment of the former vice-mayor is scheduled at 11 a.m. at the Holy Mary Memorial Park, Angeles City.

For those who wish to pay their last respects to the vice-mayor, the family has asked for the public's support and understanding, especially as to the compliance with the existing health and Covid-19 protocols on mass gatherings, social distancing, and wearing of face masks and face shields.
