Cagayan de Oro logs 4 new Covid-19 cases

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro reported Tuesday, January 26, 2021, four new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, the lowest so far this month.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the city is now at 3,260.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the four new local cases, one is a close contact of a previously confirmed case and three are local index cases.

Of the 3,260 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 418 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 2,842 cases are local transmissions.

According to Nery, the 2,842 local cases consist of 185 persons deprived of liberty, 1,438 local index cases and 1,219 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 380 active cases, 117 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 261 outpatients, and two are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered five new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 2,715.

Of the figure, 299 are LSIs, 116 are ROFs, and 2,300 are local cases (community: 1,939; Apors: 361).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 165.
