LAWMEN have arrested two most wanted persons and two others in separate law enforcement operations in Zamboanga Peninsula, the police reported Wednesday, January 27.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested two most wanted persons as Rojay Acejas, 23, and Fernando Altamera, 29.
The other two arrested persons were Adrian Guevarra, 19, and Kenneth Dela Cruz, 19.
Duco said that Acejas, the number 1 most wanted person in the area of the Zamboanga City Police Office's (ZCPO) Station 1, was arrested together with Guevarra and Dela Cruz in a law enforcement operation around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, in Sitio Merloquet, Sibulao village, Zamboanga City.
The three have a standing warrant of arrest for eight counts for violation of Republic Act 8353, otherwise known as the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, with recommended bail of P200,000 issued by the court.
He said Altamera was arrested in a law enforcement operation around 2:10 p.m. Tuesday in Sigayan village, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Altamera has a standing warrant of arrest for carnapping and arson with P40,000 and P180,000 recommended bail, respectively. (SunStar Zamboanga)
