John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo movie to start filming first quarter of 2021

ABS-CBN Films managing director Olivia Lamasan on Bea-John Lloyd movie: "Tuloy iyan, tuloy ang project. That’s one of the big projects that we have this year. Na-delay lang. Dapat last year iyan, but then pandemic happened ‘tapos kumambyo ng kuwento. So now, it’s going to happen this year.”

In October 2020, she said in a press conference that Bea and John Lloyd were supposed to do a movie shot in Florence, Italy. But because of the pandemic, writer Carmi Raymundo had to revise the story and consider the restrictions. The 2021 omnibus plug for ABS-CBN projects revealed that the Bea-John Lloyd movie is titled No Goodbyes. According to Direk Olive in the presscon held on January 27, ABS-CBN Films has resumed the creative development for the project.

“This time, it’s a collaboration with John Lloyd himself and Bea. So tuloy iyan, tuloy ang project. That’s one of the big projects that we have this year. Kasi, di ba, the many experiences plus iyong talagang innate intelligence naman ni Lloydie [John Lloyd's nickname]. So ngayon, talaga namang umusbong ang kanyang creativity with everything that he’s been doing and he has truly matured as a person and as a creative person. So it’s exciting that he, together with Bea, who has gone through the same journey, collaborate in the project that they’re going to do. It’s something that excites us, it’s something that excites the writer, Carmi Raymundo, likewise the director, Cathy Garcia Molina.”

Direk Olive is also proud that she was one of the first people to handle Bea and John Lloyd, which is why she is really excited about their reunion project. The first time Direk Olive worked them was in the 2002 prime-time series Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, which was also Bea and John Lloyd’s first project as a love team.

“Ako, hinihintay ko na lang mabasa dahil excited na excited ako sa project na iyan. Tandaan niyo, ang John Lloyd and Bea ay nagsimula sa akin sa Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, their very first soap.”

Toni Gonzaga wants her son to become whatever he wants to be, even if that means entering showbiz in the future. The Kapamilya host-actress used to say that she does not like the idea of her son following in her footsteps. But now that Seve is turning five this year, Toni seems to have a change of heart.

In her radio interview with RX 93.1, which was uploaded on the station's YouTube channel on January 18, 2021, the celebrity mom said, "You know when he was younger, I would always say, 'No, ayoko siya mag-artista. I don't want him to get into the industry. I don't want him to experience what I've been through. And I feel like it's unfair for that at a very young age, I'm already limiting his potential. I don't want to say anything anymore na 'I don't want him to be this, I don't want him to be that. What I want to say na lang siguro at this time—because he's a toddler now and he understands now the words that I tell him. What I tell him now is, 'You know what, you can be who you ever want to be because I will be here. I will support you and I will just encourage you. Whatever it is that you want to do, whatever it is that is in your heart, whatever interest that you have, I will support you.'"

Toni realized that she and her husband Paul Soriano were lucky to have parents who supported their dreams, so she wants to do the same for Seve. She said in the interview, "I think as a parent, that's the best thing you can do for your kids. Allow them to be themselves and allow them to find their own passion in life."
