Sinas announces new designations for 22 officers

WITH the retirement of three senior officials, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Debold Sinas said he has assigned 22 police officials to new positions.

Police Brigadier General (PBGen.) Nolasco Bathan retires today, January 31, 2021, as PNP Health Service director while Police Major General (PMGen.) Amado Clifton Empiso, director for Intelligence, and MGen. Joel Napoleon Coronel, director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), is set to retire from the police service on February 6 and 11, respectively.

“We are infusing new blood into the command structure to fill the void created by the retirement of some senior officials and ensure continuity of command,” said Sinas.

BGen. Luisito Magnaye will succeed Bathan while MGen. Dennis Agustin will be taking Empiso’s post.

Bgen. Albert Ignatius Ferro was designated as the acting director of the CIDG.

Other new designations are:

• PBGen. Rodolfo S Azurin Jr. as the acting director for Information and Communication Technology Management (DICTM);
• PBGen. Domingo R. Lucas as the acting director for Research and Development (DRD);
• PBGen. Antonio Yarra, deputy regional director for Administration, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO);
• PBGen. Benjamin Acorda Jr., deputy regional director for Operations, NCRPO;
• PBGen. Florencio T. Ortilla, director, Aviation Security Group;
• PBGen. Emmanuel B. Peralta, regional director, Police Regional Office 1;
• PBGen. Celso L. Bael, deputy regional director for Administration, Police Regional Office-Mimaropa;
• PBGen. Nelson B. Bondoc, district director, Northern Police District;
• PBGen. Eliseo DC Cruz, district director, Southern Police District;
• Police Colonel (PCol.) Ronaldo R. Cabral, acting deputy regional director for Administration, PRO-1;
• PBGen. Walfredo G. Pornillos, deputy regional director for Administration, PRO-BAR;
• PBGen. Jon A. Arnaldo, executive officer, Directorate for Intelligence;
