THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) is conducting a thorough investigation to file a case against a suspect who allegedly molested a nine-year-old girl in Bacolod City, an official said.
Police Lieutenant Arlyn Torrendon, head of WCPD, said Sunday, January 31, 2021, the family of the nine-year-old girl sought their help to file the case against the suspect of legal age and still at-large.
She said last week, the victim was allegedly asked by her friend to go to the house of the suspect.
“The victim did not know the name of the suspect, who allegedly molested her using a bottle of beer,” she added.
Torrendon said the victim already underwent a medical examination and she’s now under the custody of her family.
She said they are still conducting a thorough investigation on the incident because there was an inconsistent statement from the victim.
“There’s a possibility that the victim was molested by more than one suspect and we are doing our best to file the case against the suspect,” Torrendon said.
