NAVOTAS City Mayor Toby Tiangco on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, said residents living near an ice plant were evacuated due to an ammonia leak in the area.

Tiangco also urged motorists to avoid North Boulevard and R-10.

In a radio interview, he said the stench was strong in the vicinity of T.P. Marcelo Ice Plant and Cold Storage.

Tiangco said Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel have already been deployed in the area. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo / SunStar Philippines)
