Gabbi Garcia rewards herself with a brand-new car

AFTER hard work, Gabbi Garcia had just bought herself a brand-new car. The actress talked about this latest milestone in a YouTube vlog on January 31, 2021. She picked up her brand-new Subaru XV1 with her dad Vince Lopez and boyfriend Khalil Ramos.

In her video, Gabbi talked about the car she chose, "The cars na pinagpilian ko when I got this was a GLA, a Lexus UX. I also considered a CRV and a Forester. But the Subaru XV1 won my heart.

"I feel like kasi this car is just right for my size, for my height. It's just really right for my work, iyong mga pinupuntahan ko, and I find it so sophisticated. And iyong tipong kahit maarte ako, iyong kotse ko may dating."

According to TopGear Philippines' Buyer's Guide, the price of a Subaru XV1 ranges from P1.6 million to P1.98 million. Gabbi said she was able to buy the car because of her latest endorsement, and she named it after the brand, Millie.

Although her family already owns three cars, Gabbi's brand-new car is a more special to her. The Kapuso actress explained, "Nakakuha na ako ng car before, pero kasi it wasn't like a personal car so parang hindi siya ganun ka-sentimental. I got a family car, I got a second-hand car. Iyong unang family car namin nung naging artista ako is still with us. It's technically my sister's already. And then my mom's SUV is also there. And then I have my van, my work van. Actually, iyong van din na yun, katas naman iyon ng Encantadia, but kasi, that one, I was underage. Hindi ko pa siya ganun na-cherish kasi hindi ako part nung process since I was underage, but that was also a big achievement for me."

Gabbi already has a driver's license, but she still needs to pass her dad's driving standards before she can drive the new car on her own. She explained, "Nag-aral din ako sa driving school, as in I passed everything. It's just that my dad, sobrang safety-conscious siya. So he wants me to pass muna sa kanya and it's harder than the actual driving test. As in meron kaming night driving, meron kaming ramp parking, parallel parking, lahat na. So kailangan ipasa ko na lahat iyon, and guess what? Wala pa akong napapasa kahit isa!"
