Former Angeles City mayor appointed CDC chairman

FORMER Angeles City mayor Edgardo Pamintuan has been appointed chairman of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC).

President Rodrigo Duterte on February 5, 2021, approved Pamintuan's nomination as member of the board of directors and occupying the position of former CDC Board chair Jose "Ping" De Jesus.

"Pursuant to the provisions of existing laws, you are hereby appointed member, Board of Directors, Clark Development Corporation, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1m 2020 and will end on June 30, 2021, vice Jose P. De Jesus," the president said.

On the same date, Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea informed the CDC Board of Directors that President Duterte appointed Pamintuan as CDC board chairman.

Pamintuan served as general manager of the National Housing Authority from 2001 to 2004.

He served as mayor of Angeles City for three consecutive terms.

Pamintuan also led the League of Cities of the Philippines during his term as city mayor.
