No mandatory quarantine for Apor entering Cebu

GOVERNOR Gwendolyn Garcia has issued an executive order easing the restrictions for authorized persons outside residence (Apor) entering Cebu’s towns and cities.

Under Garcia’s EO No. 9, Apor will no longer be required to undergo mandatory quarantine upon arrival.

They will only be required to present a valid ID from a government agency and the original copy of travel authority or order from the designated agency.

They will also be required to undergo screening for Covid-19 symptoms upon arrival at airports and ports and to strictly follow minimum health protocol such as wearing of masks and face shields and observing social distancing.

On the other hand, non-Apor can still travel to the Province unimpeded provided they submit a medical certificate and they pass the screening conducted in the place where their travel orginated.

If local government units (LGUs) in Cebu provide additional requirements for their visitors, they will need to inform Garcia and the Department of the Interior and Local Government of the move.

Garcia also reminded LGUs that her latest EO does not apply to overseas Filipino workers and returning overseas Filipinos. (ANV / JKV)
