A 17-YEAR-OLD Filipino-Irish is now starting to make waves in the United Kingdom after being hailed as one of the grand finalists of Ms TeenStar UK in December 2020.
Rudy, father of Mia Librojo, said he is from Antipolo, while his wife is from Davao. Mia, he added in an interview, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
"Although not a grand winner, Librojo won the prize of Recording Time Session with the TeenStar UK Producers, one of the top recording studios in London. She is the first Filipina to have won the said recognition," Rudy said.
Among Mia's original compositions under the Pop Rock genre were the "He's in a Band" and the "Love Sick." These songs can now be heard on Spotify.
"We are now awaiting when the recording will happen as it was delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. In previous years, she already guested in several events of Filipino communities in London," Rudy added.
He said among Mia's inspiration is Beabadobee, a Filipina YouTube sensation in London.
