3 suspects nabbed in Eastern Visayas drug stings

AUTHORITIES arrested three alleged drug personalities in separate buy-bust operations in Eastern Visayas towns from February 11 to 12, 2021.

A report from the Police Regional Office-Eastern Visayas headquarters said anti-drug operatives collared Sharon Estrella, 40, after she allegedly sold one sachet believed to be containing shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay San Esteban, Burauen, Leyte on February 12.

Personnel of Burauen Municipal Police Station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the region also confiscated from the suspect’s possession and control 11 sachets containing suspected shabu, buy-bust money, and other personal items.

In Lavezares, Northern Samar, joint police operatives also arrested Romy Jay Dineros, 31, and listed as a street-level individual.

The suspect allegedly sold one small sachet believed to be containing shabu to an undercover operative.

The police also confiscated from his possession and control five sachets containing suspected shabu, buy-bust money, some cash, motorcycle, and mobile phone.

Tacloban City Police Office Drug Enforcement and Intelligence Unit led by Lieutenant Anthony Re-Amora and Major Edwin Cañamaque , in coordination with PDEA, arrested the top 16 high value individual in the city who was identified only as alias J, 46.

He was nabbed during the buy-bust operation in Barangay Naga-naga, Tacloban on February 11.

Police confiscated from the suspect during the operation 17 sachets believed to be containing shabu with an estimated market value of P56,000, buy-bust money, and a digital weighing scale.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
