THE union of two individuals can not withstand the complexes and challenges in the absence of love.

Love is powerful in all its ways that can create a meaningful relationship between two individuals who decide to accept all the good, the bad and the worst side of human nature.

True love does not come handily but it has the full proof of strength, patience and understanding where circumstances involving life's challenges can be spanned into unconditional love with a trust that can put up with weaknesses and faults that will eventually lead to joy and happiness.

Couples who vow to live together come hell or high water can celebrate the true meaning of love.

Just like the newlywed couples who exchanged their "I do" in a mass wedding administered by the Chief Executive of Silay City and E. B. Magalona held recently in separate venues and schedules.

The couples with age differences from youngest to the oldest decided to legitimize their union in civil matrimony.

Silay City Mayor Mark Andrew Golez and E.B. Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon administered the matrimony of couples who vowed to live together for better or for worse.

Thirty-nine (39) couples got married on February 11 at the town's public plaza In E.B. Magalona officiated by Mayor Marvin Malacon while several pairs exchanged vows before Silay Mayor Golez held at the city's civic center recently.

Both officials wished the best for the couples who celebrated their union in special matrimony which was held closer to Valentine's day.

Some couples were already living together while others are still new and are about to live together under the bond of marriage. Others even have children already wherein the wedding was a means to formalize and legalize their union.

The celebration has realized two goals such as the legitimization of the union of the two people and also an advanced celebration of Valentine's Day.

Love deserves to be celebrated because people who dared to follow the language and expression of love can truly say that life is worth living with someone whom one has vowed to live with until his last breath.

Best wishes to the couples' wonderful journey as they build and strengthen their lives together.

Have a happy married life, Mayor Golez urged the newlywed couples.
