THE Task Force Ligtas na Implementasyon ng Gobyerno Tungo sa Angat na Serbisyo or "TF Ligtas' of the City of San Fernando has been ordered to sustain programs and projects that are beneficial to Fernandinos while strictly enforcing public health and safety laws to curb the spread of Covid-19.

In a meeting with members of the task force over the weekend at Heroes Hall, Mayor Edwin Santiago recommended the team's steadfast response against Covid-19, regulation of the number of trucks passing through the city's major thoroughfares to avoid road deterioration, and strengthening agriculture programs to sustain food adequacy.

The mayor also reiterated continuous thrusts on peace and order in the city through traffic management and police visibility, management of wastes and other environmental problems, rehabilitation of the old city public market, and the effective response against crimes, calamities and disasters.

"While sustaining our response against Covid-19, pagtuunan din natin ng pansin ang estado ng ating mga daan, ng mga tulay, kalikasan, agrikultura, ekonomiya, at kaayusan sa siyudad. Sa mga paraang ito inililigtas natin ang buhay ng mga Fernandino, gayundin ang ekonomiya, at ang siyudad," Santiago said.

(Let us also focus on the state of our roads, bridges, environment, agriculture, economy and peace and order in the city. Through this, we are saving the lives of Fernandinos, the economy and the city.)

Task Force Ligtas is a brainchild of Santiago and was formed to serve as the springboard for the joint efforts of the government in projects that ensure economic continuity while prioritizing the health and safety of s

the public.

It is composed of sectoral teams including Team Ligtas na Kalusugan, Ligtas na Lipunan, Ligtas na Kalikasan, Ligtas na Imprastraktura, Ligtas na Daan at Pamayanan, Ligtas na Merkado at Kalakalan, Ligtas na Pamamahala sa Sakuna at Kalamidad and Ligtas na Sentralisdong Pangangasiwa at Pagmamatyag led by the concerned offices.
