FIVE members of a family from Barangay San Rafael in Macabebe town tested positive for the virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Based on the report of the local government, the source of the virus was the 43-year-old male who had travel history in Apalit and Sta. Ana towns.
After a few days, the patient reportedly developed symptoms of Covid-19 and was subjected to swab testing. Results later came back positive.
As part of the contact tracing process, his family and other close contacts were subjected to swab testing while on self-isolation.
Upon return of results, four of his kin and a neighbor, including his wife, daughter, father and mother-in-law, showed positive results.
The local government unit reported that all patients were already transferred to isolation facilities while recovering from the disease.
