AN ESTIMATED P68,500 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug bust operations of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City Thursday evening, December 10, 2020.
The operations also led to the arrest of Jerby Serquillos, 32, of Sitio Sibucao, Barangay Banago; Allen Carepiano, 25, of Hacienda Bayosan, Talisay City; Ryan Gonzaga, 30, of Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan; Elton Jan Nery, 30, of Barangay Felisa; and Joel Languido, 29, of Purok Sigay, Barangay 2.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Serquillos and Carepiano were arrested by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit after they sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover in Sitio Sibucao, Barangay Banago around 7 p.m.
He said the suspects’ companion Albert Fajardo managed to escape after sensing that they were dealing with a police operative.
Police recovered from the suspects’ possession two sachets of shabu weighing one gram with an estimated market value of P6,800, the marked money and drug paraphernalia.
Gonzaga was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 in Purok Kabugwason around 9 p.m.
Police recovered from Gonzaga’s possession three sachets of shabu weighing seven grams with an estimated market value of P47,600, the P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia.
Nery was arrested by operatives of Police Station 10 in Purok Totong 4, Barangay Felisa around 7:15 p.m.
Recovered from Nery’s possession were a sachet of shabu with an estimated market value of P500 and the P200 marked money.
Languido was arrested by operatives of Police Station 2 in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 around 11:45 p.m.
Police recovered from Languido’s possession five sachets of shabu weighing two grams with an estimated market value of P13,600, the P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects have been detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 2, 3, 7 and 10 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
