LAWMEN have arrested a Belgian national in possession of illegal drugs and unlicensed gun in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Thursday, February 18, 2021.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested Belgian as Randall Jean Gilbert Louwye, 52, presently residing in Purok 5, Gil Sanchez village, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.
Duco said Louwye was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Gil Sanchez village, Labason.
He said recovered from the possession of the Belgian were some P5,440 worth of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, a caliber .38 revolver with defaced serial number and four live ammunition and other personal belongings.
He said the suspect, who was detained, will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
