AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy died after he allegedly came in contact with a live wire while walking towards a farmland in Barangay Acereda, Bobon, Northern Samar on Thursday, February 18, 2021, police said.
The victim was identified as Ivan Lauriano Dela Cruz, student and resident of Barangay New Rizal, Catarman, Northern Samar.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim together with two other companions went to a farm to dig for some cassava root crops.
While they were walking, the victim accidentally stepped on a live wire that was lying horizontally on the pathway, according to the police.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead by the attending physician.
Police are investigating the incident. (SunStar Philippines)
