THE prophesied Warning in Garabandal, Spain in the 1960s is not new. Mystics and saints who had lived some 500 years ago had dwelt on it, but it was in Garabandal, Spain, during the Marian apparitions that no less than the Blessed Mother intimated it is to happen in our times. Thus, the mounting theories on when.
(Before I go on, I must clarify a typo error in my last column wherein I wrote that many Garabandal followers theorize that the Warning would likely happen any year up to 2016. Apologies for senior moments again. It was supposed to be the year 2026.)
In our days after the Garabandal apparitions, more Catholic mystics have emerged to confirm the Warning prophecy and give more details related to it.
So may I introduce Ecuadorian mystic Sulema who has been residing in Quebec, Canada and, following her allegedly supernatural experiences since she was a child, has remained under the guidance of two priests, Fathers José Ruben and Guy Giroux. The Vatican, as also in the case of Garabandal, has not pronounced any judgment on her case.
She, too, received purported heavenly messages about the Warning, sometimes called the Illumination of Conscience, as the phenomenon will make everyone simultaneously all over the world see the condition of his soul as God sees it.
First, a background on Sulema (I assume she, out of humility and for privacy, had requested to be identified only by such name): she was born in 1954 in Ecuador to very religious parents. Her mother dedicated her to the Sacred Heart even before she was born. She first encountered the Blessed Mother at age 7.
Sulema is also believed to be receiving messages from Our Lord Jesus, God the Father, St Joseph, Padre Pio, St Michael and her guardian angel.
Some of the messages she had received were published, with the guidance of priests, but she picked only those that were "urgent" to "enable people to prepare."
On January 8, 2011, Sulema received the following message from the Blessed Mother:
"Yes, my child, you must prepare yourself to live this change that the children of light will experience in a special way. It will be an event for all the children on earth, but you are going to experience it differently. What for others will be the cause of confusion, fear, distress, great fear, will be for you the joy of feeling and glimpsing Him whom your hearts love.
"Yes, I am speaking of the Illumination of conscience, which others call 'the warning.' Continue to recite the Act of Contrition as you feel the need to do so, and above all be quick to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation in order to receive God’s forgiveness and the graces flowing from it. I am not telling you that this is going to happen soon, straight away. Certain things must happen beforehand, natural events: yes, there will be an icy cold that will envelop you, a cold unknown to my children...
"Take a good look: do you think that the death of so very many birds in different parts of the planet, of so many fish, is a coincidence? In truth, my child, I tell you that this is the presage of what is coming, of what is at your gates: a mega-earthquake, brutal cold, not mentioning the wild wind, a new element that will sweep away everything in its path; and afterward will come to a stifling heat... When this happens, tell yourself that the Illumination of conscience is very near, giving way to the great persecution that the Church will undergo in order to provide the antichrist with a triumphal entry."
Message on February 2, 2011: "Nature is really unleashed, it is crying to its Creator for vengeance, it has pity for the earth which is saturated with the blood of so many of the innocent, of so many aborted babies, with such violence of all sorts...
"I am so afflicted at all that awaits you. Believe me, my child, it will be terrible for some nations, especially those that are against life. The Father will unleash the elements of nature until the moment when He will say: it is enough!, making way for the great Illumination of Conscience, the moment when every child will experience a particular judgment, the instant when everything will stop to listen to God’s voice. You will see how all creation obeys the voice of its Creator, except for the human being who considers himself superior to Him, going so far as to deny the existence of God, the Creator of the whole universe."
March 1, 2011: "Look, there are also new diseases created by man, as they want to reduce human population, they want to reduce it by all sorts of means, at any cost, to the detriment of the innocent. Man is dominated by his thirst for power, for money and for idols of all kinds. He has become worse than the wild beasts."
April 27, 2011: "In these days in which you are living, the children of earth are blind. They see the events around them and, even so, they do not understand. Their hearts are slow to believe the many warnings that Heaven has given them, slow to believe in the prophecies concerning the Illumination of Conscience.
"Believe it or not, my children, it is coming quickly: my Divine Son Jesus has said so. It will be preceded by all sorts of catastrophes: earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, hail, an icy cold, a wind that will sweep away all before it, a very, very strong storm, a deadly heat when the comet approaches... Do you see how you have been warned of this and yet you do not want to believe?"
And now let me share with readers, rather belatedly, a message from Our Lord Jesus to mystic Jennifer, given last Feb. 9. I think that the message implies that the Warning will not happen this year, as Jesus's request in His message seems to be in preparation for the Warning. Here's the message:
Our Lord Jesus to Jennifer on February 9, 2021:
"My Child I desire for you to tell the world that, beginning this Thursday (Feb. 11) in honor of My Mother when she announced herself as the Immaculate Conception for everyone, to pray a Rosary in her honor. I desire for this Rosary to be said each First Saturday for the next nine months. Every bead that is recited is a bead of light that will begin to pierce the darkness [of] this earth. And it will begin to heal this world from the despair that has overcome so many. Now go forth for I Am Jesus, and do not lose hope, for it is My Mercy and Justice that will prevail."
