Sungduan: RCMB outreach projects

AMID the pandemic, the Rotary Club of Metro Baguio (RCMB) continues to provide help to many communities in need.

From the recent outreach projects the club conducted such as at the far-flung community of Barangay Kadayacan in Maria Aurora, Aurora where they provided the residents who are mostly Kankanaey and Bago tribe with personal protective equipment and essential materials for health safety, they also visited the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.

Together with the Baguio Maharlika Dynamics Lions Club, they distributed food and fruit packs to the patients of the Pediatric Cancer Ward of the said hospital which was appreciated by the beneficiaries.

RCMB President Jerry Chan said they are also set to go back to Lepanto Elementary School in Mankayan, Benguet to implement their Handwash Facility Project for the said school.

The project is supported by a District 3790 Grant Fund from District Governor Jess Sama, who personally handed the support to Chan, Club Secretary Audrey Sungduan, and Past President Feliza Ronquillo on February 20, 2021, in Pampanga.

Last December, RCMB also provided the said school with the needed education equipment, such as television and printing materials including clothes and PPEs (personal protective equipment) for their health and safety protection.

“We intend to help improve the educational and healthy environment of the students of the school which has at least more than 700 population,” Chan said.

May these projects of RCMB inspire more people to lend a hand especially in these trying times.
