WITH bicycles becoming more widely used, SM City Tarlac creates bike-friendly infrastructures where bikers can safely and conveniently park and chill at Biker’s Lounge especially designated for them.

For convenient shopping or taking order, they can also do Bike-Thru. Staff on duty takes orders of bikers and let the staff call the store involved. Biker waits for the order to arrive and pays for the amount of his order.

Aside from the Biker’s Lounge, a Bike Repair kit is available. Bikers now have one less thing to worry about just in case they need immediate repairs for their bikes, as repair tool kits will be provided.

Bike racks are available just beside the Biker’s Lounge near Starbucks at SM City Tarlac. Bike commuters and enthusiasts can also look forward to safe bike-parking with on-duty guards manning and securing the perimeters of the mall.

With these bike-friendly facilities and effort, SM City Tarlac aims to support the initiatives of the local government to give encouragement and provide safe spaces to the growing biking community.

Arsenio Lugay II, focal person for tourism and executive assistant to the Governor, led the ribbon-cutting to formally open the biker’s lounge. He also reiterates not only the safety of bikers but also the potential of biking in its tourism aspect.

Importantly, SM aims to support inclusive mobility and hopes to encourage more people to take up biking as a healthy and environment-friendly alternative means of transportation beyond the pandemic, which is part of SM’s Green Movement campaign promoting clean, green, and sustainable communities.
