Cagayan de Oro logs 9 new Covid-19 cases; total now at 3,766

THE City Health Office reported on Friday, February 26, 2021, nine additional cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro, five of which are local cases with link, three are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and one local index case.

This brought the total number of Covid-19 cases in the city to 3,766.

Of the total Covid-19 cases recorded in the city, 422 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,344 cases were local transmissions.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, the 3,344 local cases consisted of 186 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 1,761 local index cases and 1,395 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 224 active cases, 41 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and 183 outpatients.

The city also registered 27 new coronavirus-positive persons, who were tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,362.

Of the figure, 302 were LSIs, 119 were ROFs, and 2,941 were local cases (community: 2,496; Apors: 445).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city rose to 180.
