15 Kagayan-anons contract coronavirus

THE Cagayan de Oro City Health Office on Saturday, February 27, reported 15 city residents who tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 3,781.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 15 new local cases, two of whom are local cases with link, seven are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and six are local index cases.

Of the 3,781 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 422 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,359 cases were local transmissions.

According to Nery, the 3,359 local cases consist of 186 persons deprived of liberty (PDL), 1,772 local index cases and 1,399 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 188 active cases, 45 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and 143 are outpatients.

The city also registered 50 new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,412.

Of the figure, 302 were LSIs, 119 were ROFs, and 2,991 were local cases (community: 2,376; Apors: 446).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 181.
