RECENT developments in the world, particularly in the US, make more credible the following message from our Blessed Mother to Gisella Cardia last February 27:
"My children, at this moment the world is under the dominion of evil, which has now stopped hiding itself and which openly wants you to be its subjects; democracy is over and dictatorship has emerged. My children, I ask you to be firm in the faith, otherwise you risk losing the whole journey that you have undertaken up until now. Love Jesus and the cross, and you will have salvation."
And here's an indisputably related development in the US: President Biden has signed the Equality Act which he had asked Congress to pass immediately.
In this regard, I am giving way to the words of author Jeffry Kuhner: "the Equality Act does more than designate the 'LGBTQ+' community as a 'protected class,' shielding them from discrimination in housing and employment. Rather, its goal is totalitarian: To impose transgender ideology upon American life, society and culture, opening a Pandora's Box that will have devastating consequences. It is a hammer that will be used to persecute other groups -- especially, women and girls...."
"More ominously, it will be legal for transgendered men to disrobe and expose themselves naked in women's showers, locker rooms and gym restrooms. It violates and undermines the equality, safety and privacy of women and girls everywhere," he said.
Kuhner warned it will be "illegal and criminal for parents to refuse their eight-year-old child if he or she wants to take puberty blockers or begin hormone replacement therapy. This would be considered 'transphobic bigotry,' potentially resulting in the parents losing custody of their child or suffering some other form of punishment.
"Doctors and medical experts who oppose or disagree with having children take puberty blockers or undergo hormone therapy, because of its severe (and possibly permanent) emotional, psychological and physical consequences, would lose their licenses to practice medicine...."
Kuhner also observed that the new US law "would turn Pope Francis into a criminal, the equivalent of a grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan who wishes to uphold the Jim Crow segregationist system. The bill specifically exempts itself from the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, thereby allowing the federal government to sanction and punish any religious institution, faith-based group or church that believes in basic biology and biblical teachings on sex and marriage."
In effect, the law would accuse every major religion -- Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism -- of engaging in "discrimination" and "oppression" against the transgender community should they continue to assert the belief that the differences between men and women are real, that the male and female sexes are rooted in biological reality and grounded in God's natural design for humanity, the author also said.
Kuhner concluded that Christian belief "is the very opposite of 'transhumanism' or transgender ideology, which argues that gender or biological sex is a 'social construct,' and not real; rather, they are a tool of social oppression and human repression that must be dismantled. The Equality Act codifies transgender ideology, which is a form of cultural Marxism."
In China and many other countries, persecution of Christianity is growing. And so are other signs of the times, explicitly identified as such in messages being continually conveyed from Heaven by mystics of our days.
This, on top of Biden's commitment to enshrine abortion, even late-term ones, in the US Constitution and have abortion promoted worldwide.
These developments continue to convince followers of the the Garabandal, Spain Marian apparitions (1961-65) to believe that the prophecies therein are to happen anytime, particularly the Warning and the Miracle.
Only one of the four visionaries of Garabandal knew the year of the Warning. She was Mari Loli. I use the past tense because she had passed on of lingering illness at the age of 59 in 2009, without apparently telling anyone else the year. But then, she left some hints.
One time when she was asked whether she would still be alive when the Warning happens, Mari Loli laughed and replied, "I hope so." The answer is significant as it tells us that the Warning could happen within any normal lifespan of a person her age, except that illness cut early her earthly life.
Remember my past column citing raw videos of birds and airplanes suspended in the air, as if frozen in a time warp? Mari-Loli herself said that during the Warning, everything would stop, including airplanes in flight. She said: "She (the Blessed Mother) said that everything, everywhere, for a moment would stop and the people would just think and look inside themselves."
Again, let me share messages that explain the apparent conflict between frightful prophecies and the appeal from Heaven for us not to fear.
Our Lord Jesus Christ explained this to Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta on May 18, 1915 as follows"
"My daughter, courage. It is true that great will be the tragedy, but know that I will have regard for the souls who live from my Will, and for the places where these souls are. Just as the kings of the earth have their own courts and quarters in which they keep safe in the midst of dangers and among the fiercest enemies - since their strength is such that while the enemies destroy other places, they do not dare to look at that point for fear of being defeated - in the same way, I too, King of Heaven, have my quarters and my courts on earth. These are the souls who live in my Volition, in whom I live; and the court of Heaven crowds round them.
"The strength of my Will keeps them safe, rendering the bullets cold, and driving back the fiercest enemies. My daughter, why do the Blessed themselves remain safe and fully happy even when they see that the creatures suffer and that the earth is in flames? Exactly because they live completely in my Will. Know that I put the souls who live completely from my Will on earth in the same condition as the Blessed.
"Therefore, live in my Will and fear nothing. Even more, in these times of human carnage, not only do I want you to live in my Will, but to live also among your brothers - between Me and them. You will hold Me tightly, sheltered from the offenses that creatures send Me. As I give you the gift of my Humanity and of all that I suffered, while you keep Me sheltered, you will give to your brothers my Blood, my wounds, my thorns - my merits for their salvation."
