Woman in viral photo a doctor, not Robredo

VICE President Leni Robredo on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, denied being the woman in a photo that has gone viral on social media.

The photo shows the woman wearing long sleeves while receiving a vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). A closer inspection of the photo would show that the woman’s blouse had split sleeves and part of her arm was already exposed.

"This is ridiculously funny. Maraming salamat po," Robredo said in a Twitter post.

The photo was posted by Sass Rogando Sasot, a blogger and supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, on her Facebook account.

Sasot clarified that the woman in the photo is not Robredo, but netizens still criticized Robredo.

Robredo said the woman in the photo is Dr. Flordeliza Grana of the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City.

Robredo apologized to Grana for having been dragged into the issue. (SunStar Philippines)
