A 10-HOUR power interruption from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021, will affect some areas served by the San Fernando Electric and Power Company (Sfelapco) in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

In an official advisory on March 4, 2021, Sfelapco Corporate Communications Officer Irwin M. Nucum said the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will undertake several line works during the three-part outage, covering various substations and feeders that supply power through 69-kilovolt (kV) lines 1 and 2 in Sfelapco’s franchise area.

Nucum said the following works will be undertaken: repair of hotspots along 69kV Line 1; installation of double-throw at Greenville substation; relocation of two 69kV poles and lines to the newly erected poles in San Jose Matulid, Mexico in relation to work order No. 19281; and closing of the loop of 69kV Line 1 and Line 3 at Heroes Hall and San Jose Matulid, Mexico

Part 1 of the power interruption (3 a.m. to 1 p.m.) will affect 69kV Line 1, the Greenville Substation and Greenville 12 and Greenville 14 feeders.

Part 2 (3 a.m. to 5 a.m.) will affect 69kV Line 2 and Magdalena Substation, plus Feeders 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5; and Greenville Feeders 11, 15 and portion of 16.

Part 3 scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. will affect the Magdalena, Lourdes Heights, Baliti and Saguin substations along with Magdalena Feeders 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5; Greenville Feeders 11, 15 and portion of 16; Lourdes Heights Feeders 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25; Baliti Feeders 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35; and Saguin Feeders 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46. Affected 69kV customers are SMC, SMYPC and SMC Canning.

“Please consider our lines energized at all times as we may resume power much earlier than the above mentioned scheduled time right after NGCP's construction works,” Nucum stated in the advisory. (JTD)
