NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has no choice yet among those being eyed to be presidential aspirants for the May 2022 presidential and local elections.

"I'm not part of any. I will just wait until they file their Certificate of Candidacy to make my choice," Lacson said when asked who will be his bet for the coming election.

Tarps bearing words urging presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio to run for president have been noticed in major streets in Bacolod City and other parts of the province, while multi-sectoral groups led by former governor Rafael Coscolluela has already launched Negros for Leni, referring to Vice President Leni Robredo.

Other names being floated as presidential aspirants are Senator Grace Poe, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Meanwhile, Lacson emphasized that tarpaulins and billboards of politicians are not allowed within government properties.

He said he has checked those hanged and posted at the lagoon area but those were hanged in street lights which are not part of government property.

"If it's within the parameter fence then we will ask them to take it out," Lacson said.
