Oro registers 8 new Covid-19 cases; recovery rate at 91.19%

CAGAYAN de Oro has recorded only eight new local coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases as of March 4, Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery reported.

The total number of confirmed coronavius infections in the city is now at 3,860.

According to Nery, of the eight local cases, one is a local case with link, two are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), four are local index cases, and one death.

Of the 3,860 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 422 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,438 cases are local transmissions.

Nery said the 3,438 local cases consist of 186 persons deprived of liberty (PDL), 1,831 local index cases and 1,419 local cases with link.

The number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro has also decreased from 166 to 156, of which 56 are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and 100 are outpatients.

The city also registered 17 new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,520 with a 91.19 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 302 are LSIs, 119 are ROFs, and 3,099 are local cases (community: 2,631; Apors: 468).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is at 184.
