Pineda: Xian Lim: excited to host his first game show on TV5

XIAN Lim on handling intrigues: “At this point, parang natanggap ko na sa bawat kilos ng isang aktor o ng isang artista ay meron at merong masasabi ang ibang tao. Maganda man o masama, you just have not pay attention to those things para sa akin."

As of press time Xian is overly excited with his project of Viva entertainment;s game show. Dubbed as "1000 Heartbeats", the newest game show will be aired on TV5 on March 21 at exactly 8pm.

“This is something I’ve always wanted to do. May mga tanong sa akin before kung ano pa ba ang gusto mong gawin. Lagi kong sinasabi na aside from movies, from TV, gusto kong mag-host ng isang game show.”

But when it comes to his heartbeat, Xian admits that he has gone a long way on how to handle it.

“At this point, parang natanggap ko na sa bawat kilos ng isang aktor o ng isang artista ay meron at merong masasabi ang ibang tao. Maganda man o masama, you just have not pay attention to those things para sa akin. Kasi, nung una talaga, naalala ko, nung nagsisimula pa lang ako, lahat, questions ko, 'Bakit ganito, bakit ganito?' Pero, you just... nasa sarili mo na lang, e,”

Especially now that he and girlfriend Kim Chiu's relaitonship is getting stronger.

“Ngayon, parang we’re just doing our thing. Parang eto kami, eto yung mga ginagawa namin, eto yung sini-share namin na tipong ganun. Tumahimik na lang and eventually it died down. Siyempre, lagi ko ngang sinasabi sa isang relationship, dapat every single day, you work on it. Bawal makampante sa isang relationship,”

Francine Diaz on renewing contract with ABS-CBN: "Nakakataba ng puso. Gusto ko po ipakita sa lahat iyong loyalty ko dito sa family na ito. Again, ito po iyong tahanan ko talaga.”

The Kadenang Ginto actress signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN on February 26, 2021, together with several other ABS-CBN artists who renewed their contracts. Francine revealed that she received offers from other networks after the shutdown of ABS-CBN.

Being called a “Kapamilya” is also music to Francine’s ears.

“Ang sarap marinig niyan. Nakakataba ng puso. Gusto ko po ipakita sa lahat iyong loyalty ko dito sa family na ito. Again, ito po iyong tahanan ko talaga.”

Francine started her career with ABS-CBN in 2015, playing the younger counterpart of lead actresses, such as young Erich Gonzales in Be My Lady (2016) and young Kim Chiu in Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin (2017).

She also played minor roles in We Will Survive (2016) and The Blood Sisters (2018). In October 2018, Francine got her big break via the afternoon series Kadenang Ginto, where she played the role of Cassie Mondragon, the rival of Marga Bartolome played by Andrea Brillantes. The series enjoyed high ratings on its timeslot, and it ran for one year and four months.

The popularity of the show allowed its production unit, Dreamscape Entertainment, to come up with a teen group called The Gold Squad. Francine and Andrea are part of the group along with their respective love-team partners, Kyle Echarri and Seth Fedelin. Aside from Kadenang Ginto, the group's exposure has reached the YouTube viewers.

Francine and Kyle were also featured in iWant TFC's digital offerings in 2020: they top-billed the original movie Silly Red Shoes and were a part of the original series Bawal Lumabas, where Francine played the sister of Kim Chiu. This March 2021, Francine is set to star her first prime-time teleserye, Huwag Kang Mangamba, where she shares top billing with Andrea. Kyle and Seth are also part of the show as their respective partners.

The series is scheduled to air its pilot episode on March 22, 2021, replacing Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s broadcast platforms: Kapamilya Channel on cable, Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook, and A2Z Channel 11 on free analog and digital TV. Francine and The Gold Squad are also expected to continue shooting their horror movie, All Nighter, which was supposed to be shown before the pandemic.
