Government employee, 2 others nabbed in anti-drug operations

A GOVERNMENT employee and two others were arrested, while some P116,320 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, officials announced Sunday, March 7, 2021.

The suspects were identified as follows: Jayson Mancenido Adora, 37; Gabi Anduwa, 37; and, Palma Barhama, 36.

Police Major Albin Cabayacruz, Zamboanga City Police Office’s (ZCPO) Station 7 chief, said Adora, driver of City Hall’s engineering section, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Green Valley subdivision in San Roque village, Zamboanga City.

Cabayadruz said confiscated from Adora were some P16,320 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.

Police Major Chester Natividad, ZCPO’s Station 11 chief, said Anduway and Barhama were arrested in another buy-bust operation, also in San Roque village around 10 p.m. Saturday.

Natividad said the two suspects yielded some P100,000 worth of suspected shabu, P1,000 boodle money topped with genuine P100 bill as marked money.

The two officials said the suspects were detained, while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002 are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
