THE country’s third telco Dito Telecommunity has officially launched its mobile services on Monday, March 8, 2021 in select cities and select compatible handsets in Cebu.
According to its website, SIM cards can be bought from its online and physical stores for P40 inclusive of one gigabyte of data valid for seven days.
Dito has a welcome offer of unlimited data, Dito to Dito SMS and voice calls for only P199, valid for 30 days from March 8 to 31, 2021.
“We will eventually be launching our regular offers,” Dito said in its website.
The promo will be available in the following areas in Metro Cebu namely Carcar, Cebu City, Consolacion, Danao, Liloan, Mandaue, Minglanilla, Naga, San Fernando and Talisay.
Dito’s partner stores in Cebu include Oppo in SM Consolacion, Q2 in SM City Cebu, CQE in Gaisano Grand Mandaue Centro, XO in SM City Cebu and Cellfad in Ayala Center - Cebu Business Park.
The company said it is currently working with the other network providers for interconnectivity.
“Expect that within the months of March or April of this year, you may already connect with subscribers from the other networks,” it said.
In the meantime, Dito said users may take advantage of their unlimited data and use such apps as Facebook Messenger, Viber and Whatsapp to connect with friends and family using other network providers.
The Dito SIM card works only with select Dito compatible Voice over LTE mobile phones as Dito uses next generation technology.
“In order to fully maximize the Dito experience, we recommend to use only compatible mobile phones,” it said.
Compatible phones include MyPhone’s MyT6S, MyWX2, MyWX2 Pro, MyX1 Plus, MyXI1 Plus, MyX1 Pro, MyX12 and MyXI3, Huawei’s Nova 7, Mate 30, Mate 20, Mate 30 Pro, Mate 30 Pro 5G, Mate 40 Mate 40 Pro, Nova 7 SE, Nova 7i, P40, P30 Pro, P30, P40 Pro, Y7a, Y7p, Y9 Prime 2019 and Y9s.
Also included are Oppo’s A12, A53, A31, A52, A53 4GB, A92, Reno 3 Pro, Reno 4 and Reno 4z, Samsung’s S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra, TCL’s Plex, Cherry Mobile’s Aqua S9, Aqua S9 Lite, Aqua S9 Max, Flare S8, Flare S8 Lite, Flare S8 Pro, Flare Y20 and Flare Y5.
Vivo’s NEX3, X50 Pro, Y11, Y19, Y30, Y20i, S1,S1 Pro, V15, V15 Pro, V17 Pro,Y17, Y91C, V11, V11i, X21, Y81, Y85, Y91, Y91i and Y95 are also compatible with the SIM. (JOB)
