Central Luzon Covid-19 cases breach 30,000 mark

CORONAVIRUS cases in Central Luzon have reached 30,565 confirmed cases, according to the latest bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH).

Of the number, 81 percent or 24,981 cases have since recovered from the disease, while some 4,521 cases, representing 14.8 percent of total cases, are still active.

Of the active cases, 2,042 cases are asymptomatic, while 2,318 are considered mild cases.

The DOH bulletin noted 75 moderate cases along with 69 severe and 17 critical.

Some 1,063 deaths have been recorded in the region since the start of the pandemic.

Bulacan province has the most number of recorded cases at 12,206, followed by Pampanga with more than 7,300 cases.

Cases in Bataan are currently at 3,829 along with 2,316 cases in Nueva Ecija and 1,950 cases in Tarlac.

Aurora province has the least number of recorded cases at 93.
