SOME Metro Manila mayors allied with PDP-Laban passed a resolution urging President Rodrigo Duterte to run for vice president in the 2022 elections, said Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, vice chairman of PDP-Laban.

Cusi bared this in a private meeting attended by some Cebu local officials on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

In the same meeting, a manifesto was signed by some Cebu mayors and board members, supporting the continuity of the government's 10-Point Socio-Economic Agenda and the ongoing Covid-19 action plan of the government, including the Philippine National Deployment and Vaccination Plan for Covid-19.

"With the impending transition of power in 2022, we further commit to support a transition of leadership that will guarantee continuity of President Duterte's socio-economic agenda," the manifesto stated. (JJL)
