ANOTHER company of the Yanson family, RB Yanson Resources Phils., Inc., held an annual shareholders meeting at Seda Hotel, Bacolod City on March 8, 2021.
The meeting was presided by Eduardo L. De Mesa, Jr. as proxy for Emily Yanson, its president and chairman of the board of directors.
Lawyer Carlo Joaquin Narvasa, legal counsel of the Yanson 4, in a statement said the meeting was attended by stockholders representing 66.67 percent of the outstanding capital stock of the corporation.
Roy Yanson, Emily Yanson, Ma. Lourdes Celina Y. Lopez, Ricardo Yanson, Jr., Jerina Louise Ramos and Matthew Agustin Lopez were elected by shareholders anew as members of the board of directors of the corporation for the Year 2021-2022.
The shareholders ratified all acts and transactions of the board of directors and management of the corporation under the leadership of President Emily Yanson, Narvasa said.
In the organizational meeting that followed, the directors elected Emily Yanson as chairman of the board. of directors and president, Ma. Lourdes Celina Lopez as vice president for Operations, Roy Yanson as treasurer and chief financial officer, Ricardo Yanson, Jr. as corporate secretary, Anna Isabella Galvez as Assistant Corporate Secretary and Narvasa as Vice President for Legal.
The new directors of the company also vowed to continue court actions to unravel minority shareholders’ activities and their pretense to act on behalf of the company despite the absence of any legal basis for them to do so, Narvasa added.
