MAY I invite you, dear reader, to immediately become "a quiet modern apostle" in the urgent battle for everlasting souls, including our own, as we face the "end of the world as we know it." (For emphasis: not the end of the world yet.)
A background on this invitation: Starting in the 1950'a, a Hungarian nun started to receive messages from Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother. However, she has remained anonymous in obedience to the instruction of her spiritual director-priest.
Some of the messages, in Hungarian, were compiled in a publication with the proper imprimatur and nihil obstat -- a virtual affirmation of the authenticity and Catholicity of the work. The publication was later translated into German, French, Spanish and English. The first publication in English was in 1987.
In his foreword to the English edition, writer Stephen Foglein noted that "there never was more need for apostles than in our confused and dangerous times. The Blessed Virgin has said on many occasions that the people of our time are more wicked than at the time of Noah. She has averted the impending punishment many times, in order to save souls..."
And then he continued: "Jesus and Mary are doing everything to save these (lost) souls, but they need help!"
"They do not ask us to go out to the street corners, or the rooftops, but they simply ask us to offer our lives to them: to endure patiently the sufferings of life, which come anyway, and offer these to them," he said, noting that those with illnesses can best offer their sufferings for the salvation of the lost.
Further: "By using our sufferings, prayers and sacrifices, they can save souls -- souls otherwise on their way to eternal damnation in hell..."
Foglein puts his invitation this way: "If you are able to recruit someone to become a modern quiet apostle, it will add to your merit considerably without diminishing in the slightest degree the merits of your recruits."
It was in 1955 that Jesus Christ dictated to the Hungarian mystic a prayer for Life Offering (I capitalized for emphasis) of one who opts to be a silent apostle of our end-times. The prayer is as follows:
"My dear Jesus, before the Holy Trinity, Our Heavenly Mother, united with Your Most Precious Blood and your sacrifice on Calvary, I hereby offer my whole life to the intention of your Sacred Heart and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Together with my life I place at your disposal all Holy Masses, all my Holy Commissions, all my good deeds, all my sacrifices, and the sufferings of my entire life for the adoration and supplication of the Holy Trinity, for united in our Holy Mother Church, for the Holy Father and priests, for good priestly vocations, and for all souls until the end of the world.
"O my Jesus, please accept my life sacrifice and my offerings and give me your grace that I may persevere obediently until my death. Amen." (End of prayer.)
Our Blessed Mother attached five promises to whose who would completely devote themselves to such Life Offering as follows:
* Their names will be written in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, inflamed by love;
* Their life offering, together with the infinite merits of Jesus, can save many souls from damnation. All souls who will live until the end of the world will benefit from their life offering;
* None of their family members will go to hell, even if it seems otherwise, because they will receive in the depth of their souls the grace of sincere contrition before the souls depart from their bodies;
* On the day they offer their lives, their loved ones suffering in Purgatory will be released, and, in her own words:
* "I will be with them at the hour of their death. They will not know Purgatory, I will carry their souls straight to the presence of the glorious Trinity, where they will live with me in a special place created by God and will rejoice forever."
Now, for this very important and, yes, frightening quote from the Blessed Mother, in her message to Gisella Cardia, as an image of Jesus in the mystic's home started to weep blood only last March 6. Here it is:
"Dear children, thank you for having responded to my call in your hearts. Beloved children, are you asking yourselves why my Son is crying tears of blood? Know that Jesus is sad, grieved by this humanity which is being called to salvation, but which is not responding to His call. Now, my children, TODAY, THE TIME OF MERCY HAS CLOSED; invoke the Lord so that he would have mercy on you; I offer my tears for you. My children, some will be saved thanks to the suffering offered up by this daughter (Gisella) of mine.
"I ask you: pray, pray a great deal. Children, TECHNOLOGY IS ABOUT TO BE ATTACKED BY SOLAR FLARES, so be ready. Evil will soon reveal itself before the world, but only those who are faithful to Christ will recognize good and evil, thanks to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Children, THE TIMES THAT WILL COME WILL BE HARD, VERY HARD. As a Mother I ask you: hasten your conversion, do not be lukewarm; God alone will be your salvation, entrust your lives to Him. Everything will be renewed and much will be lost, but I want to save these children of mine. The earth will continue to shake without ceasing. Now I leave you with my Maternal blessing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen."

Also, because of the worldwide spike of coronavirus amid the inefficiencies of the IATF in the Philippines, I will share again some messages from Heaven on how to combat viruses and diseases. I just hope the solar phenomenon will not overtake me in time for the next column.
