SIX people, including two high-value target drug personalities, were arrested while some P143,500 worth of illegal drugs was seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police announced Friday, March 12, 2021.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested as the following: Abibakrin Apalad, 24, top 6; Nelson Liozo, 41, top 8; Nurhanina Ajid, 40; Maisal Sampang, 38; Jul-Nham Siyang, 27; and, Bensar Ara, 31.
Duco said Apalad was arrested in possession of some P5,500 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money in a buy-bust operation around 5:55 p.m. Thursday in Sitio Caragasan in Maasin village, Zamboanga City.
He that Liozo yielded some P8,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1 p.m. Thursday in Sitio Mulumuluan in Mercedes village, this city.
Ajid, Sampang, Siyang and Ara were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. Thursday in Santa Catalina village, Zamboanga City.
Seized from them were some P130,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money.
Duco said the suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
