THE Department of Agriculture (DA) and its partner agencies is set to roll out Wednesday, March 17, the Kadiwa on Wheels in one of the east coast village in Zamboanga City.

DA-Zamboanga Peninsula Director Rad Donn Cedeño said the Kadiwa on Wheels will be held in Lunzuran village starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Cedeño said the public can avail themselves of fresh vegetables, crops, fruits, rice, eggs, meat, fish, locally processed products and other grocery items at affordable prices.

The Kadiwa on Wheels is a modified program of DA to help the public in providing access to nutritious food, as well as provide an efficient venue to food producers to sell their products amid the health pandemic.

The program is a joint effort of DA regional office-Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (Amad), city agriculturist office, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, National Food Authority, Philippine Coconut Authority, Department of Labor and Employment, and Department of Trade and Industry.

Meanwhile, Cedeño has reminded the consumers to observe the health protocols and to bring their own basket or eco bags in going to the Kadiwa on Wheels. (SunStar Zamboanga)
