I KNOW that some of you are still wary of going out and dine at a restaurant due to the ongoing threats of the Covid-19 pandemic. But at the same time, I know some of you also want to get a taste of that crunchy fried chicken or decadent chocolate cake you saw on social media.

Well, you do not have to dine-in to support our local restaurants. Whether it will be for pick-up or delivery, you can still enjoy the food that you want to try at the comfort of your home, inside your car, or on your bike.

6:30 a.m.

Kickstart your day with a cup of coffee at 4th Street Cafe along Narra St.

The coffee shop offers a satisfying cup of coffee to kickstart your day. If you are not into coffee, you can order their MLKT. This is 4th Street’s version of the popular milk tea and it’s not like what you have tasted in the market. I do not want to tell you what kind of tea it is because I want you to discover it yourself.

7 a.m.

A filling breakfast at The Breakfast Joint in Juna Subd. (Fronting World Palace)

The name itself tells you what you are about to get when you drive by here for your breakfast. Sausages, bacon, spam, eggs, pancakes, and other common breakfast stables are available here at very reasonable prices. The most “sulit” item on their menu is their Monster Breakfast. For P149, the meal consists of hotdogs, bacon, spam, eggs, and rice. On some days, Artisan Brew also does a pop-up beside them.

11 a.m.

Order lunch from Kalye’t Kusina in J. Abad Santos, near Cosmopolitan Memorial Chapels

Kalye’t Kusina serves delicious chicken tenders that might have you wanting to order extra rice. Their sauces are flavorful and the chicken tenders are not bland. I love their Honey Garlic Chicken, which is sweet, savory, and garlicky. I also recommend the Mozzarella Korean Chicken but the melted mozzarella may have already cooled down and is not “stretchy” when ordered for take-out. However, it still tastes good. I getting hungry just thinking about their food.

3 p.m.

Sweet merienda at Confex & Co. Bakehouse at The Site in Jacinto Ext.

While they currently do not serve sliced cakes of their popular Ube-Leche Flan Cake or Red Velvet Cake, Confex & Co. Bakehouse offers Ensaymada and Grilled Cheese Sandwich for their merienda. You can order Iced Coffee for take-out to go along with what you ordered. The coffee goes well with their brownies. Don’t forget to also order their Matcha, Triple Chocolate, and Classic revel bars.

6 p.m.

Order pizza at Lara Mia in Juna Subd.

There are several local restaurants that serve really good pizza. For this list, I would recommend you order pizza from Lara Mira. Their pizzas are not only pleasing to look at with their rustic presentation but they also taste good. Their Quatro Formaggi is my favorite. It is the classic cheese pizza but packs a lot of flavors. Their pizzas can be enjoyed at home while you binge-watch on Netlfix. It can also be enjoyed on your way to our last destination if you are not planning to go home yet.

7 p.m.

Coffee after dinner at Life Cycle Coffee in Langub

Coffee in the evening? Why not? Though it could be challenging to get to their location when you do not have your own vehicle, it is worth it to drop by here and order a cup of coffee for take-out. You can also enjoy your coffee inside your car, windows down, as you enjoy to cool breeze of Langub. You can order the lattes if you still want to get some sleep tonight. Be sure to order their Shiro Blend before leaving and enjoy it the following day.
