If you wanted to be somewhere remote and peaceful, you can rent this whole villa for a night or two and have that ‘break’ you think you deserve.

Right in the middle of Davao's mountain ranges, this private modern minimalist villa is located Sitio Bongbong, Datu Salumay, Marilog District, Davao City.

Just an hour and a half away from the city’s downtown, this villa perched on a hill surrounded by nature. Probably one of this place’s best features is its breathtaking panoramic view of mountains with a sea of clouds. How do you like that?

Eden Nature Park and Resort

Aside from summer, the Lenten season is just around the corner. It is the time to reflect and contemplate the life we made, and nature is always the best idea for reflection.

A sanctuary like Eden Nature Park and Resort has plenty of areas for meditation. Eden, through the years, has always been one of the top destinations in the city with the variety of things it offers from food, relaxation to adventure.

Philippine Eagle Center

Traveling this new normal shouldn’t be just limited to relaxation and adventure, learning and appreciation to our rich biodiversity should also be counted in.

If you want to be with nature and at the same time learn more about conservation especially on our nation bird -- Philippine Eagle, which is critically-endangered, the Philippine Eagle Center is the perfect place to be.

The center is now open to the public at P300 per head inclusive of the PH eagle merchandise. If you want to have a guided tour, best to book your ticket online and ask for the center’s staff availability. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Davao City is also a gateway to the island paradise that is the Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos). Just a five-minute ride via barge from the city, you’ll already reach the island.

And since Samal is now open for tourism after several months, a list of resorts is now ready to cater to tourists while still observing health safety protocols. One of the recommended resorts in the island is Punta de Gloria Beach Resort.

Situated in Purok 6, Sitio Ilihan, Barangay Camudmud, Babak in Samal, Punta de Gloria has rooms suitable for couples, friends, and families. It has rooms with a pool view and beach view. It also has a villa for family that has a private pool and relaxing view of the Davao gulf.
