ILOILO City Government reiterated the strict enforcement of curfew for minors from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Mayor Jerry Treñas reminded authorities to implement curfew ordinance for children to keep them safe and sound at night amid the pandemic.

Violators will be taken by personnel of Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) and Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) to City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for counseling and turn-over to their families.

"Please strongly enforce curfew for minors. We start with reminding them up to Thursday. After that, we bring them to the CSWDO for their parents to pick up. This is to ensure that the local transmission will be avoided by unnecessary gatherings by minors. For compliance," Treñas said.

"I have given instructions to ICPO director Col. Uldarico Garbanzos and PSTMO head Jeck Conlu to attend to minors violating the ordinance. Memorandum will be issued to all barangay officials to strictly enforce the curfew for minors," he added. (PR)
