2 most wanted persons nabbed in Zamboanga Peninsula

LAWMEN have arrested two of the most wanted persons in a law enforcement operation in Zamboanga Peninsula, the police reported Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Armand Colonia, 20; and Talib Aluddin, 65.

Duco said Colonia was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of a warrant of arrest Tuesday in Purok San Francisco in Balide village, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

He said Colonia, listed as top 5 most wanted in Aurora town, has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with P40,000 recommended bail issued on August 18, 2020 by the court of that town.

Duco said Aluddin was also arrested in a law enforcement operation Tuesday in Sitio Asinan in Kasanyangan village, Zamboanga City.

He said Aluddin is the top 6 most wanted person in the area of the Zamboanga City Police Office’s Station 6.

Aluddin has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with no recommended bail issued on June 28, 2019 by the court of Zamboanga City.

He said the two arrested most wanted persons were placed under the temporary custody of the police prior to turn over to court concerned. (SunStar Zamboanga)
