Nearly 600 curfew violators apprehended

HUNDREDS of individuals who violated the curfew hours were apprehended by Central Luzon cops during an overnight operation on March 17.

Of the number of violators, 348 individuals were apprehended in Pampanga, while 234 were from Bulacan.

Some of the violators were meted with appropriate fines but most were only issued first warnings, said Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon.

De Leon reminded the public of the ongoing curfew hours, which is strictly being implemented by Cenral Luzon police.

"We will continue to conduct patrolling and checkpoint operations to ensure that the minimum health safety standard protocols and implementation of curfew is being strictly observed," he said.

De Leon, meanwhile, assured that maximum tolerance, upholding of the law and respect for people's rights will be implemented during all police operations.
