AN ESTIMATED P25,200 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug busta conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City Monday evening, December 7.
The operations also led to the arrest of Romulo Dipon, 59, of Barangay 16; and Jemelyn Sorino, 32, and Joebert Bandiola, 37, both residents of Barangay Estefania.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Dipon was arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover in Purok Kingfisher B at 11:15 p.m.
Police recovered from Dipon’s possession six sachets of shabu weighing 1.50 grams with estimated market value of P15,000, the P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia.
Sorino and Bandiola were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 in Purok Fortune B, Barangay Estefania at 10:15 p.m.
Police recovered from the suspects’ possession three sachets of shabu weighing 1.5 grams with estimated market value of P10, 200 and the P300 marked money.
Pico said the suspects were identified as street level individuals. They were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.
The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 1 and 4 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, a teenager was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 in Purok Mahiliugyon, Barangay 35, Bacolod City Tuesday morning, December 8.
Police identified the suspect as Crisan Belonio, 19, of Barangay 35.
Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said the suspect was arrested by virtue of arrest warrant for the crime of destructive arson around 8 a.m.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Ana Celeste Bernad of Regional Trial Court Branch 44, Bacolod City with no bail recommended.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1.
