The Manila Chooks TM is ready to rumble in the 2021 FIBA 3X3 World Tour Doha Masters as they finally got to practice on the court after clearing all their health checks.

The quartet, which has two Cebuanos in scoring machine Macmac Tallo and do-it-all forward Zachy Huang as well as veteran guard Chico Lañete and promising big man Dennis Santos, got out of the hotel and trained at the Al Gharafa Sports Complex.

Lañete, who is also one of the coaches of the team with head trainer Aldin Ayo, liked what he saw from the boys as they face Austria's Graz and Qatar's Doha on Friday.

After training, the team headed back to the hotel for the players orientation meeting with FIBA 3x3 Competition Senior Associate Jovana Vukoje.

"Ready na kami," said Lanete.

Should the Manila Chooks TM emerge victorious in the qualifying draw, they would join the United States’ NY Harlem and Princeton in Pool D. These two squads are considered powerhouses in the 3x3 realm, ranking no. 4 and 5, respectively. The champion of this leg will come away with $40,000. (JNP)
