Panaad destinations in Cagayan de Oro closed from March 27 to April 4

ALL places in Cagayan de Oro where crowds of faithful are expected to gather will be closed from March 27 to April 4.

Their point of ingress will also be sealed off from the public.

In an executive order issued by City Mayor Oscar Moreno on Friday, March 26, said places, which are commonly referred to as Panaad destinations, that will be closed from the public are: Malasag Area, Guadalupe Shrine, Camarahan Ridge, and other areas where people are expected to congregate during the Holy Week.

Religious services that are allowed under the Inter-Agency Task Force Omnibus Guidelines and related issuances will be limited to masses, evangelical gatherings, and similar church and religious services. This excludes the holding of religious processions and walking the Stations of the Cross in external public venues.

Apart from the aforementioned Panaad destinations, beaches, resorts amusement places and similar establishments will also be closed from March 27 to April 4.

Taking a dip in rivers and other freshwater channels is also prohibited.
