Solon: Making health a part of your life

Solon: Making health a part of your life

It was around this time last year when the country was first placed into quarantine. There was so much uncertainty. I was in Manila taking my Australian Strength and Conditioning Association Level 2 Course when news broke that domestic flights were going to be grounded. By grace and divine intervention, we made it back to Cebu in the nick of time.

The uncertainties continued. We stocked up on essentials and put up systems in place to disinfect and sanitize.

“Will we be able to shop for food? What will happen to students in school? Is it safe to even go out of our respective houses?” We did not have much information back then. As to the risk of the virus spreading, movie scenes played in our heads each and every time we heard the word “pandemic.” Much focus was brought into the terms “trust the science,” and for the first time in our lives, the focus on our health and that of our communities grew exponentially.

After a year or so of living with the virus, we now hopefully understand the role of our immune system and that the healthier we are, the more able we are to cope with infections.

So how do we make health a part of our daily lives? Here are some questions you can ask yourself, on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis to see if you are making health a part of your life.

How can I improve my eating habits?

How can I improve my exercise habits?

How can I improve my personal routine?
