Army battalion holds anti-insurgency dialogue

THE Army’s 10th Infantry Battalion in partnership with the police have conducted an anti-insurgency dialogue in one of the villages in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental, the military reported Saturday, March 27, 2021.

The 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division said in a statement that the activity, dubbed as community peace and order and public safety dialogue, was held Wednesday, March 24, in Tuyabang Bajo, Oroquieta City.

The Tabak division said the dialogue focused on the campaign against the community New People’s Army (NPA) terrorists, who are scheduled to celebrate the 52nd anniversary on Monday, March 29.

Aside from anti-insurgency, other topics they discussed during the dialogue were on the campaign against illegal gambling, illegal drugs, Municipal and Village Ordinances aimed to prevent cases of Covid-19.

They also tackled the role of the comminity in Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict, which falls under Executive Order no. 70.

The Tabak division said the dialogue was attended by officials, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teammembers and residents of Tuyabang Bajo, Oroquieta City. (SunStar Zamboanga)
