City Health Office notes decline in active cases in Oro

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continues to drop, with the City Health Office recording only three additional cases as of March 29.

The additional cases brought the cumulative case count in the city to 4,089 and active cases to 126.

City Health Office Acting Chief Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 4,089 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 428 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,661 cases were local transmissions.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, include 36 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 86 outpatients, and four ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 23 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 3,769.

Of the figure, 302 were LSIs, 120 were ROFs, and 3,347 were local cases (community: 2826; Apors: 521).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 194.
