FIFTEEN residents of Cagayan de Oro have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, all of which are local transmissions, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the city to 4,135.
Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 15 new local cases, one is a local authorized person outside residence (Apor), eight are local index cases, five are local cases with link, and one death.
Of the 4,135 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 429 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,706 cases were local transmissions.
Cagayan de Oro has recorded 150 active cases, 38 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 108 are outpatients, and four are ROFs/LSIs.
The city also registered 11 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,789, with a 91.63 percent recovery rate.
Of the figure, 303 were LSIs, 120 were ROFs, and 3,366 were local cases (community: 2,844; Apors: 522).
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 196.
